Now you can play all the music/videos on your PC right from your mobile through WiFi Remote Play application for Symbian^3, Symbian S60 5th, Symbian Anna and Belle based touchscreen devices from Nokia. Wifi Remote Play is a remote control application for following video players:

Media Player Classic (MPC)
VideoLan Client (VLC)

The application allows you to control these players over a wireless network. The application supports play/pause/skip/change tracks, volume and DVD control, and opening a file browser to select new files (some features may specific only to MPC).

Please make sure that Media player classic is running on your PC and the web interface is enabled(go to menu View/Options, then under Player/Web Interface tick "Listen on port"). The IP address can be found by running the ipcnfig command at command prompt on your PC. For ex. something like 192.168.74.71. The default port is always 13579.

The application is developed by Mark Harman. It works with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97, N97 Mini, X6, 5228, 5230, 5233, 5235, 5530 XpressMusic, N8, E7, C7, C6 and other compatible devices. The version 1.7 of WiFi Remote Play application is available to download.
